Video Tunes of the Week
Hey, everybody. Heather and I have determined that we think we can finish our business website by December 15 or thereabouts. As a result, the next 30 days are going to be hell as we complete this baby on a very, very tight schedule (and still try to get some sleep!).
So, I won't have a lot of time for the Tune of the Week. But, I will post a video each Monday, albeit without a whole lot of personal notes.
I like this band, introduced to me by Soup. Enjoy!

Hell, even Metallica is alright now that they replaced Jason Newstead with someone way better.
No, unfortunately I've not even been able to see one of my very favorite bands, King's X, this year. Literally no time. We've plotted out the rest of the year, and each day is literally packed (not like this is any different than the rest of the year). We'll be gettin' to some live shows once our lives return to "normal".
As a former bass player (I say "former" because I've not played in about six or seven years, although my friends in my hometown always ask me if I'm still playing as though that's all I ever did), I do like the style of Trujillo. He's paid his dues with a number of other significant acts like the Black Label Society.
But in Newsted's defense, I think Metallica really hampered his style because he replaced Cliff Burton. There was a bad vibe against him in the band from the very beginning. He was literally made to play through Burton's amps! That's weird. Anyway, his playing on the last two Voivod albums (a KILLER band from Montreal that's been around forever) proves to me that he's a far better bassist than Metallica ever allowed him to be. Cheers, bro!
It would've been interesting to have seen Jason Newsted take a more active role in Metallica for sure, though.
Hey bro. I hope you guys can make it to Erie over the holidays at some point. Although we're not certain that we'll make it, we've been able to stick to our schedule so far.
I really wanted to see King's X this summer, but time and funds simply didn't permit it. I'll tell you what, I'm hoping for a Galactic Cowboys reunion and a tour with KX. Heather and I would both be there in a heartbeat!
Yo, everybody, this dude, Axeman, delivered his wife's baby by himself! Bow, everyone, bow!
